Teaching in Academic Institutions

Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design (2014–Present)

Mary Paynter Sherwin and I are visiting faculty members in CIID's Interaction Design Programme, where we teach "Team Building: Collaboration Practices for Interaction Designers" and "Reflection Week". Additionally, we have co-taught the following courses:  "Introduction to Interaction Design," "Happily Ever After: Storytelling Techniques in Interaction Design," and "Workability: Techniques for Better Design."

California College of the Arts (2011–2014, 2017)

I was a founding faculty member in the BFA in Interaction Design Program, and taught a semester-long class from 2011 to 2014 on the role of storytelling in interaction design. In 2014, our program was named the best academic user experience design program in the Design for Experience awards.

In 2017, Mary Paynter Sherwin and I will be joining CCA's faculty for their MDes in Interaction Design.
